Share Macro enabled workbook(s)
I have a folder with a macro enabled workbook which I want to share. I followed the share routine with success in getting the folder shared. However, when I try to open the workbook on the shared computer, I get messages saying it is not a "trusted site" and can't enable content. I have tried the widely published suggestions to fix this with no success. Why does OneDrive not work with macro enabled workbooks?? Is there a solution I have not seen??

Core Solution: Add https://d.docs.live.net as a Trusted Location
According to multiple Microsoft Q&A and Stack Overflow discussions, this is the most direct and proven effective method:
- On the shared computer, open the Excel desktop application (not Excel Online).
- Go to File → Options → Trust Center → Trust Center Settings.
- Select Trusted Locations from the left menu.
- Click Add new location.
- Enter in the path field: https://d.docs.live.net (leave out the quotes).
- Check Subfolders of this location are also trusted.
- Click OK and restart Excel.

Many "how-to" guides teach users to add a local sync folder path (like C:\Users\...\OneDrive) to Trusted Locations, but this doesn't work for OneDrive shared files. The reason is that when Excel processes shared files through OneDrive, it identifies the source as a network location (related to d.docs.live.net), not a local path. So the key is to tell Excel to trust the root domain of OneDrive, not the local folder.
