Shared links not downloading for others, just gives error text files
I have been going back and forth with support, they are less than helpful. I have sent videos, confirmed it's not my network, I'm not on a VPN. The support has been maddening, I can' get them to understand that this is happening to multiple people.
kevinrmoon Yeah, a bit frustrating!
Good news is that I have found a 'work-around'... the download error only seems to be coming up when my clients try to download multiple files from the OneDrive folder (they can download individual files, but that takes a long time when there are over 20 files), so...when I zipped the files before uploading them to OneDrive, my client was able to download the zipped file to easily drag and drop them to their computer from the downloaded zipped file.
I know it's an extra step, and not ideal, but is a workaround until this issue gets fixed... "if" it gets fixed by Microsoft.
- NickernooFeb 27, 2024Copper ContributorCould you tell me how you unzip the file before sending? I will normally takes, let's say 15 pics and put them in a folder in one drive. Normally I share the link of that folder by email. It sound like I would have to put the pics in a folder, then somehow unzip the folder into another folder and then send it?? Appreciate any help. - bschusteFeb 27, 2024Copper ContributorNickernoo The answer (the work around) on to how to deliver a set of files to a client is described by rhack30 above. On YOUR computer, select all the files you need to send, and Zip them into a single Zip file. Upload that one Zip file to OneDrive. Have your client download the Zip file and unzip the contents onto their computer.
