adminsheffieldnazaren At this point there is still no fix. I opened a case with Microsoft (22594726) and they actually sited this thread. They need logs, but the problem is not reproducible. Here is what they said:
- As per the collected information and the Microsoft Techcommunity article it seems currently there is no workaround or fix released for this specific issue.
- We have done testing on internal sites and it seems issue is not reproducible if the users access Anonymous link in InPrivate or Incognito window which is a recommended way to access the Anonymous link.
- We would also suggest to use SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business permissions instead of using the Anonymous links to bring more security on shared content.
- Going ahead we have already shared the steps and details of this issue with our internal team and if in case there is any fix or update available in future we will keep you posted with that update.

I still regularly have this issue when sharing the link in this way which is very frustrating.
- ClarePPFeb 27, 2021Copper ContributorI am also having this issue. I have embed links on my website and maybe 1 in 50 will be prompted to enter their login details to access when the downloads should be available for all.....so posting here in the hope there is an answer soon
