OneDrive taking a long time to find and sync changes
Hi, Our company's OneDrive seem to take way too long to sync files back and forth to our Sharepoint Document Library. E.g. when creating a new file or folder it just sits at "Looking for changes"...
Created a support ticket with Microsoft today. We were unable to locate any errors, and support eventually confirmed that the sync times can vary a lot from customer to customer. This all comes down to connectivity issues within the OneDrive desktop client itself.
Unfortunately 30-60 seconds wait before uploading local changes to the cloud, isn't out of the ordinary for many customers, and there was nothing support could do about this situation.
This is still an issue in 2024! I hope someone, preferably Microsoft, will find a solution for this at some point.
And till occurring in 2025. Have one person who has a mapped SharePoint on their local system, they edit a file there, and a day later, it still has not synced with SharePoint Online and shows the last edit date as a day before...
