OneDrive People feature ignores some folders

Despite activating the People feature several months ago, it appears to have overlooked numerous subfolders within my image collection. These folders are organized manually by year and date, with the issue primarily affecting older folders predating approximately 2021. While the feature successfully analyzes and categorizes newer photos, it consistently skips over many earlier folders. Is there a method to compel the OneDrive People feature to include these overlooked folders in its facial recognition analysis?

sorry to say no help, but asking - how even activate that feature? Can it be done on Win11 somewhere??!

Carbonze, it is OneDrive's feature. You can go to OneDrive online in any browser (onedrive.live.com), find settings (right upper corner) and then enable the "options/Photos/Use AI to find and organize photos" option. Give it couple of days after that and then get back online and check results in Photos/People.

sergeyge   many thanks!!  - but actually my photos are offline - do you know if there is some way to do the same thing with them?   Is it expected that all data will now be clouded?  (I'm struggling to figure how to cope within  win11!   ( ... apologies for asking questions beyond your post, but it was a start ..)
