You’re basically running into this because OneDrive’s Photo Gallery (the “Photos” view) only shows actual image files, not images that are still inside ZIP files. That’s why you can drill down and see them in folders, but they don’t appear in the Gallery.

Here’s a step-by-step on how to get your photos to appear in the Gallery:

Option 1: Extract the ZIP files in OneDrive

1. Open OneDrive in your browser (https://onedrive.live.com/).
2. Navigate to the folder with your ZIP files.
3. Right-click the ZIP file → choose “Extract” or “Extract all”.

• If you don’t see an extract option in the web version, download the ZIP file to your computer first.

     4. Once extracted, the photos will exist as individual image files (.jpg, .png, etc.) in OneDrive.

     5. Refresh the OneDrive Photos view — the images should now appear in the Gallery.

Option 2: Extract ZIPs locally and re-upload

1. Download the ZIP files to your computer.
2. Right-click → Extract All → pick a folder.
3. Upload the extracted images directly to your OneDrive folder.
4. Check the OneDrive Photos view — they should now show up automatically.

Tips & Notes

• ZIP files themselves cannot be displayed in the Photo Gallery; they always need to be extracted.
• Make sure the extracted files are supported image formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, etc.
