OneDrive icon overlays
I have fully disconnected OneDrive from my computer, and actually uninstalled the OneDrive app. I still get OneDrive icon overlays on my desktop (for example, a green checkmark). They don't hurt an...
I did turn of Desktop folder sync. My Desktop folder is no longer located at username\OneDrive.
If I go look at OneDrive.com, none of my files are there, so they aren't syncing.
Look in the "My files" tab for your syncing files, not in the Home tab.
Do you have another sync service running, such as Google Drive, that also displays sync icons?
