Onedrive crashed after updating to 27.2 MacOS

my onedrive stopped working after updating system.

I tried many ways, from restart to reinstall the file from website, non of them works, it's just freezing or crashing during the first loading. the app closing and "Microsoft error reporting" comes up

HELP!

  • Since OneDrive now crashes during startup even after reinstalling, another reinstall alone may leave the same configuration problem in place. First verify your files through OneDrive in a browser and copy any unsynced local work to a separate safe location before changing the client further.

Microsoft documents a Mac reset procedure: quit OneDrive, open Applications, Control-click OneDrive, and choose Show Package Contents. Open Contents > Resources and run ResetOneDriveApp.command, or ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command for the standalone installation. Start OneDrive again and complete setup, selecting the previous sync location and restoring your chosen folders.

Treat that as a troubleshooting step, not a confirmed fix for macOS 27.2. Microsoft’s Mac Files On-Demand guidance warns that reset scenarios can remove local content, which is why the backup matters. If startup still fails, provide the exact macOS build, OneDrive version, Mac processor type, and crash report privately to Support.
