OneDrive app stopped running on Mac

OneDrive is Not running on my Mac (running Okay on iPad).  OneDrive app will not open.  Tried to download a rest copy but message that it could not be downloaded because the folder was missing.   Using MS365 on a Mac, everything is up to date.
