Old Onedrive storage location on External HD causing problems with Windows apps on laptop
It sounds like your external hard drive Per-HD1 is still partially linked to old OneDrive sync settings and may be causing issues with Windows apps and your Office files. This might be because remnants of your old OneDrive configuration are still present, leading to syncing conflicts, registry settings, or cached data that are affecting your new laptop.
Disconnect Per-HD1 and Stop OneDrive Syncing (If Necessary)
Physically Disconnect Per-HD1: Make sure your external hard drive (Per-HD1) is disconnected from your laptop for now.
Stop OneDrive Syncing: It seems like OneDrive might still be attempting to sync with Per-HD1. If OneDrive is still trying to sync files from the old setup, it might cause conflicts with the new setup.
Right-click on the OneDrive icon in the system tray (near the clock).
Click Settings.
Go to the Account tab and check if any accounts are still linked. If your old OneDrive (official or personal) is listed, unlink it.
Since you mentioned that the OneDrive Temp folder is causing issues, clearing out OneDrive-related temporary files might help resolve the problems.
