iPhone & iPad onedrive app not syncing

After uploading all files via a MacBook laptop the files show both online and on my laptop however I can’t see them on my iPad or iPhone and I’ve tried clearing cache, signing out and in and even reinstalling the app on both iOS phone and iPad. For sometime I’ve not been also able to use the search file function. Although I can physically navigate through folders to see them it is frustrating that I can simply search for a file and navigate to it more quickly.
