Has OneDrive abandon the download speed?
When i hover on the Onedrive button , all I see is this "Downloading Files (Percentage)"
Where have the uploading and downloading speed gone
?

This is a normal OneDrive update change, not an issue. In newer versions of OneDrive, the taskbar hover no longer shows real-time upload or download speeds. Instead, it only displays overall sync progress (e.g. “Downloading files (7%)”).
The actual sync speed still exists in the background and has not been removed—only the live speed display is gone.
If you want to check or adjust transfer speeds, you can still do this:
- Click the OneDrive cloud icon in the taskbar
- Go to Settings → Sync and backup → Advanced settings
- Under Upload and download rates, you can either set limits manually or leave it on automatic (recommended)
For real-time speed monitoring, you can use Task Manager → Performance → Network or Resource Monitor, where OneDrive activity is shown under network usage.
