Force/Auto saving to ONeDrive
Hello all,
Is there any way where in we can force users to save their files only to OneDrive and not to local HDD/SSD's? By which we can don't have to buy large capacity SSD's and with the help of litigation hold corporate can have access to the data if required.

There are several ways to encourage users to save their files to OneDrive instead of local drives, listed below are ways users can save their files.
1.Change the location of known folders: You can change the location of your documents/pictures/music folders to OneDrive. This can be done by moving the folder using its properties. This will ensure that all files saved in these folders are automatically synced to OneDrive.
2.Symbolic Links: You can create symbolic links (sym links) from a local folder to a OneDrive folder. This will make any file saved in the local folder also appear in the OneDrive folder.
3.Group Policy: If you’re using a business version of Windows, you might be able to use Group Policy to disable saving to local drives and only allow saving in a specified location such as OneDrive.
4.Windows Information Protection: If you’re using Microsoft Intune, you can use Windows Information Protection to get users to save company files to OneDrive.
5.Redirect Known Folders: You can redirect users’ Documents folders or other known folders to OneDrive.
Please note that you’d need to have have enough OneDrive storage space. Also, some of these methods may require administrative access or involve quite a bit of work.
