Files [READ ONLY] but no indication they are, so cannot save changes
Experienced this today with Excel files when opening them from Ms Teams. I have the latest updates of OD and Excel. I had wanted to start a new conversation about this, when this thread was shown up. Thank you for all the valuable information that has been posted. I'll untick the collaboration setting in the OD client as a temporary solution.

I have just started getting this problem with Excel:
(Excel 2016 - Office365 - version 1701 Build 7766.2096)
Windows Insider 16251
Onedrive 2016 Build 17.3.6955.0712
I have spreadsheet that I can open and hit the save button at say midday and then a couple of hours later save and get the unable to save message. So it's not set to read only as I have saved it earlier in the day!!
