Error adding my Personal OneDrive account to the ODfB sync

Trying to add my Personal OneDrive account to my existing OneDrive for Business sync but get an error. This has been working before with exact same setup.

Anyone else having the same problem? How to report this to Microsoft?

Its a completely new installation of Windows 11 with latest version of OneDrive for Business.

1. Right click the OneDrive in the tray and click on Settings

2. Account - Add an account

3. Email address: <My personal OneDrive account> [Sign in]

4. This email address is used for both OneDrive and OneDrive for Business: I select Personal

Error

"This type of account doesn't work with this particular service. Please enter an email address or phone number associated with a different account."

The Win11 computer was configured with this account prior reinstallation and was working before.
According to the setup it recognises that the account is both a personal Microsoft account and a Work account and lets me select the one I want to use. And then say its not a Type that works.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble adding your personal OneDrive account to your existing OneDrive for Business sync. Based on the error message you received, it seems that the email address you entered is not compatible with the service.

This issue could be due to a variety of factors. Here are a few potential solutions:

1.Switch Accounts: You could try switching to a local account from your Microsoft account, rebooting your computer, and then switching back to your desired Microsoft account.

2.Reset OneDrive: You could try resetting OneDrive.

3.Check Group Policy: If you’re an administrator, you can check the Local Group Policy Editor to see if the option “Prevent Users from synchronizing personal OneDrive account” is enabled.

Please note that these are just potential solutions and might not solve the issue in all cases. Always make sure to back up your data before making any major changes to your system.

Apparently a bug with the latest version of OneDrive sync and having a Microsoft Account and Work account with same email address (Microsoft account overlap).

It was solved by installed an earlier version (22.012.0117.0003 64Bit OneDriveSetup) and then I was able to add the Personal OneDrive to my existing OneDrive for Business sync.
And then update the sync engine and its still works so only problem during authentication with latest version I would say.

Anyone knows how to report this to Microsoft?
