Change status of OneDrive files
How do I copy or move OneDrive files to my PC so they will be permanently stored on my PC?

Hi, change the Status to "Always keep on this device":
Right-click on the selected items.
From the context menu, choose "Always keep on this device."
A green circle with a white checkmark will appear next to these files, indicating they are stored locally and will remain available offline- roglcCopper Contributor
Thanks for your reply but this doesn't solve my problem. After changing the status of the files their file path still points to OneDrive. I need the files to be stored on my pc's hard drive without any association or connection to OneDrive. I need to disconnect from OneDrive without losing my files.

Just disconnect the one drive account from your PC and the copy will remain on your PC's hard drive (without synchronizing anymore)
