I'm not able to activate my license for Office
I've purchased Office 2021 Home&Student on May 2024. Since yesterday I'm not able to use it anymore as Office application cannot find the license assigned to my Microsoft account and forces me to buy Office 365 subscription. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't helped. Just to be clear, I'm downloading installation package from My Account - Subscriptions page on Microsoft website. I've contacted Microsoft support and they sent me installer link to downgrade Office to older version which in support opinion should work but it's not working either. I know that Office 2021 is not supported anymore with updates etc. but there is a note that product should work anyway. I'm really pissed off because I paid for lifetime license to avoid subscriptions and on that time when I bought Office 2021 Home&Student there was no Office 2024 in sale because it was released in October 2024. If Microsoft will not fix this problem I will claim money refund for my purchase because I can't use my license anymore for buying lifetime license. This is not fair in relation to customers.

Me pasó exactamente lo mismo, no puedo usar mi licencia a perpetuidad porque dicen que no pueden dar soporte a un Excel que es el mismo que hace 30 años jajaja. Necesito que me devuelvan urgente el dinero de "MI" licencia si es que no va a funcionar mas.
I have been having the same issue for a week now. I have been using Office 2021 since September of 22 without issue. Now without activation it is read only, which is worthless. I spent several hours trying various things suggested by MS chatbot without result. Sunday I was told that MS was aware of the issue and was working to resolve it. The issue was triggered by a recent update. It would be nice to know if there was some expected resolution date.
