Power BI Premium discounts

Hi TSI team

With the change from Power BI Premium to Fabric Capacity, Power BI Premium is no longer available for nonprofits at a discounted price. Will Fabric Capacity be added to the available grants/discounts in the future? Or will nonprofits have to use their Azure credits and make up the considerable difference?

Thanks

Matt

Just putting the original Power BI blog announcement here for reference: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/important-update-coming-to-power-bi-premium-licensing/

"After January 1, 2025, existing Power BI Premium per capacity customers should work with their Microsoft account representative to transition to a suitable Fabric capacity and pricing plan at the time of their next renewal, which provides more flexibility in SKU size, pay-as-you-go billing options, access to Azure-only features, and is eligible for Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC)."

I also have questions about this change. We are using embedded reports with RLS for our thousands of external customers accessing a Power Pages Portal. We were told by our MSP that the P1 nonprofit SKU was what we needed (at the time) with a nonprofit cost of just under $2K per month. The capacity page (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embedded/embedded-capacity) shows that this was the equivalent of an F64 SKU and is $8,409.60 per month ($5,002.667 with a reservation). Our $2,000/per year Azure credit does not make a dent in the 320% price increase. Please help me understand how we are supposed to move forward.
