I can't edit my original post, but MSFT has made some changes to the COCP rule which also answers these questions. Thus I'm closing my topic.
Hi MartijnElfers, COCP and incentive handling can depend on exact effective dates and program rules, so I would confirm this through Partner Center support or your Microsoft channel contact. Document the original subscription term, transfer date, billing/proration date, and incentive period so support can answer cleanly.
Also having questions open at MSFT support of course, though I think this should be shared publicly as well for all partners to know such details.
