Behavior of add on during NCE Mid term upgrade

Question on specifically how Teams Phone with Direct Routing will transition from a Business Standard to Business Premium mid term upgrade.

Customer has 200 users on Standard with the add on for Teams Phone System currently configured with a Direct Routing partner, works great. Not changing to Operator Connect or Teams Dial Plans.
When we follow the upgrade process as outlined in the NCE Partner Handbook, there is no mention of the behavior expected for add on to the old license.
I would hope that no new configuration or outage of existing service would take place at the time of upgrade, but I can not find where this behavior is confirmed or denied.

Last thing we want to do is upgrade, then cause a voice outage.
Do you have any documentation on the expected behavior of add ons following the upgrade or do we need to prepare for additional labor and planning to reconfigure the Teams Phone system as the licensing upgrade to Premium
Thank you in advance

I'm not aware of any issues either.

    1.  Pages 40 - 41 of the NCE Handbook discusses "What Happens" during an upgrade, but unfortunately, we cannot predict or confirm that you will not encounter any issues if you're free to upgrade. I certainly hope you do not.

    2.  I suggest upgrading a few at a time to confirm that the transition runs smoothly.

As a friendly reminder, you should always check the availability of upgrades for a product via the Offer Matrix.

  • Hi Steven,

This should be posted under NCE & BizApps, so before I reply to your question, I'm going to move this for you and correct your labels.
