Were do the files in the chat get stored?

Our use the "Chats" feature in Teams (so not a Team) and then upload but were are these files stored? Are they on Onedrive? If so who's onedrive is multiple people are in the chat and different pe...

Thanks, so if i read that correctlt files in Chat are stored in Onedrive under a folder called "Microsoft Teams chat files"

So if user A uploads a file in to chat called "File A"

and then user B uploads a file into chat called "File B"

 

Do both these files appear in bothe User A and User B folder called "Microsoft Teams chat files"

?

    no, the person that shares the file are the owner of the file and the only one that will have the file in it's OneDrive
