Weird problem in Teams/SPO

I need urgent help with a problem that affects only some of our users. Those affected are unable to see images in SharePoint Online sites that are attached to a tab in Teams.

When an affected user is viewing a SPO page in a tab in Teams, the images are not shown (the "broken image" icon shows). If the user then clicks the globe icon to open the page in the browser (Chrome), the page is rendered correctly.

To my understanding, the Teams client app is really just an embedded Chromium engine, right? So why is the SPO page rendered differently in Teams and in Chrome?

    Update:

I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect the problem is related to Conditional Access policies. In that case, the error occurs in Teams because the CA policy regards the embedded Chromium engine (which I guess it is) as a non-compliant browser, while the "real" Chrome browser is deemed OK.

Any thoughts? Would it be possible to "white list" the Teams client app?

JakobRohde try exiting the client completely, right click, on the icon in task bar, choose Quit.

Teams is built with Electron which has its own caching mechanisms that are different than the actual browser. Quiting it will force that cache to refresh

Well, sometimes sign out and sign in will reset even more cache than just quit, but quit Is always first test. Try it via teams.microsoft.com as well see if problem persists.

JakobRohdelet me ask you some question on this,

has the SP in tab put as Sharepoint app or as a website? also is this Sharepoint a separate SP or the one created with the same Teams/o365 group?

since what my assumption is maybe Sharepoint app is not used this is most the case so if you use SharePoint app while adding tab would work fine.

    please update with these details!

      Hi PDostiyar

The tab is using the "website" app and it is pointing to a SharePoint Online site in our tenant, but not the site that is connected to the team in question.

JakobRohdewhy don't you try using the SharePoint App, could you do a test with this user only by adding a new tab and this time select SharePoint App which will show you all the SharePoints in your Tenent select the one you want and i am sure you will get your result.

please keep us posted if that workout for you!

        Regards
