Yes Microsoft has announced that this year they would be releasing the 3x3 video frame on the Microsoft Team Meeting. Looking at the security issues and concerns which was raised against zoom being a consultant I wouldn't recommend Zoom as a Solution for a Enterprise Organization.
The 3x3 Feature is definitely coming soon in Microsoft Teams. Below the Announcement about the same

I don’t understand the stupid see everyone in little cubes obsession. I’d rather see larger higher quality of the people actually participating than everyone picking there nose. Half the time most people don’t turn on the camera.
Anyway. Microsoft has come out and said some of these items like this have made their top priority list to get out. So hopefully it’s right around the corner.
