Verify creator of content on Whiteboard
Hi Can I verify who created what (and when) on Whiteboard? I read that mouse-over should do that but it does not work for me... I am mainly using Whiteboard in TEAMS, but also the stand alone app. ...
- Jun 30, 2022You can't do that yet. But the feature should be coming out during September.
Attribution: Participants in Teams and on Web can see who added content to the board.

Meanwhile you can get the answer to "who added content to the Whiteboard and when" by going to your OneDrive for Business and opening folder named Whiteboard. In there you can see all your whiteboard files and can use vertical ... button to open the menu - look for Version History at the bottom & click on it to open a view to see versions.
Please note
- Whiteboards need to be stored in OneDrive for this ( your admins can control the setting - in a near future OneDrive Whiteboards will be enabled for everyone)
- You must have created the whiteboard (You were the first to open Whiteboard tab in the meeting) to find it in your OneDrive / Whiteboards -folder.
- If you didn't create the whiteboard then look for files shared to you in OneDrive. You can ask for creator to give you more permissions to the file to access version history if you don't have access on default.
However, to see what was changed by who in the board you have to wait for Attribution feature to roll out during September 2022.

HofmannMoritz this is also ridiculously poor!! I cannot understand how Microsoft can publish a corporate collaboration product where you need to jump through hoops to see who authored it, where it is stored, and who has edited what!
