User presence
Perhaps someone can explain to me or refer to a documentation on who can see the online presence and when. As far as I understand, the presence is always shared, and sharing cannot be disabled. Does this mean that people outside the company can also see the presence status? If yes, can this be deactivated? What kind of interaction must happen in advance, if any, before an external person can see the presence status?
- Yeah, as long as people are permitted/ able contact you, they see your presence!
You can however deny certain people from contacting other both internally and externally!

Regarding external people we are talking about federation:
