Uploading files in a conversation

In a class team - with a folder: Class Materials I am asked where to put a document when attaching af file from my laptop in a conversation in general.
How to get this option in the other teamtypes.
When attaching files in a conversation files are put in the root folder.

Is there a way to stop attachments being added in a channels converstion to its root file folder.  Tt makes those folers very messy. Ideally it defaults to an attachments folder if we can't customize this.
