Uninstall NEW Teams does not delete the Teams folder in c:\WindowsApps - issue detect install status
Microsoft you really should provide better guidance for admins to control the installation, detection and uninstallation.
Windows 10/11 Hybrid joined
Users are NOT local admins.
Intune Win32app deployment.
Testing installation / uninstallation with Company Portal:
I am trying to get this working in Intune. Works fine with the "teamsbootstrapper.exe -p" for installation. No issues!
Detection with powershell if the MSTeams***** folder in "c:\program files\Windowsapps" exists.
Looking at the Windowsapps folder it creates one "MSTeams****" and then one more later on (update I guess ofc)
Sometimes it seems to delete the first folder after some time other times not.
Now ISSUE!
When running the unistallation with Intune using "teamsbootstrapper -x" it uninstalls, BUT does not delete the folder(s)
named "MSTeams****", result is that it detects Teams as installed.
Trying to delete the folder as admin not possible.
3rd. party tool like "LockHunter" seems to be only way to get completely rid of the folder (s).
Any ideas please to use Intune to delete the folders? With PS or?
I really need someone at MS or maybe just a fellow admins help 🙂
