Unable to use OBS VirtualCam in Teams

I followed this tutorial (https://chadschultz.azurewebsites.net/2020/03/17/animated-teams-background-how-to/) and everything was working fine until the final step, where you select OBS as your camera in Teams. What went wrong here?

  • Looks like the Teams client can't find the OBS Virtual Cam

    - Have you got the OBS Virtual Cam installed? It is an add on to OBS
    - If not, download and install it and check it is available in OBS (the link is in the article)
    - If so, log out from Teams, quit Teams, restart and log in and see if it picks it up

Let me know how you get on

    Best, Chris

Just to follow on from the above - OBS virtual camera is now built into OBS V26.1.

Make sure to uninstall the plugin before upgrading. all info can be found https://github.com/johnboiles/obs-mac-virtualcam/releases

Im also finding this and the virtual camera is not showing in teams. This is the same for the Lumix webcam utility.
