Unable to see a new team I joined as a guest in Windows Desktop- Web app does show the new team.
Hi-
I have been invited to join a new team as a guest. I clicked the appropriate invite email, opened teams and then was unable to log in.
The inviting company tech support said my account looked like an admin account so I tried creating a different teams account from a new email, joined that new account to my existing team then tried joining the inviting company (using a new invite to the new email). After this, I was unable to log in to either teams account.
On suggestion of the tech support, I ran a batch file to switch Teams to use web hooks for authentication, therefore working without enrollment... I can now log in but I do not see the new Team to which I was invited.
I tried both accounts on a different Windows 10 PC - neither desktop app can see the new team.
I can still see the new team in the WEB app.
Annoyingly I am unable to present (and hence unable to take part in a panel discussion) from the mobile app. This was the whole reason for joining the new team.
I have cleared cache on my laptop - as detailed at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/itops-talk-blog/powershell-basics-how-to-delete-microsoft-teams-cache-for-all/ba-p/1519118
No change in behavior.
Can anyone help me here?
Thank you!

I've had this happen an year back, reported it but nothing came out of it. It eventually fixed itself, either due to the 10th time clearing cache/credentials or something updated on the backend... I would suggest opening a support case and report this, they might come up with other suggestions apart from clearing cache and stuff...

Thanks VasilMichev
This was eventually resolved in a very unsatisfactory way - I asked the admin to remove me and re-add me to the same team. I went through the same email acceptance process as before but for some reason it worked this time.
The database equivalent of 'turn it off and turn it back on again'.I hear lots of good things about Teams, however I am not impressed with it yet...
