Unable to edit a SharePoint calendar item from Teams

In MS Teams I have a link added to a channel that opens a SharePoint calendar. The calendar appears within the Teams window. I am able to add an item to the SharePoint calendar and I am able to delete a item in the calendar, but I am not able to edit an existing item. The only way I could edit the item is if I opened the SharePoint site's calendar in a web browser. Has this function recently changed, because we were able to edit these items directly from Teams a few weeks ago. We are GCC licensed.
