unable to download teams app - teams.microsoft.com sent an invalid response.

Hi, 

Just received my new surface laptop go and I'm trying to install the teams app on it.  I get as far as 

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app#desktopAppDownloadregion

But clicking on downloading the app brings up the computer says no message (teams.microsoft.com sent an invalid response)

Any indicators as to why this should happen.
