Unable to add new members to my teams

Unable to add members to my existing teams.  I have tried watching many videos but not addressed this issue.  Also, I am not able to update team member's information such as adding their email address.  I updated to Business Essential but I don't see any improvement on the issue. Please guide as to solve this problem.

    I don't know if it will help but try to input the member's name manually. (don't use "copy-paste")

    Well in my case, I tried pasting member's email address from somewhere into the input field but "something went wrong" error keeps on appearing.
    I tried manually entering the name then selecting the found (suggested) name and it worked.
    Or sometimes I manually entered the whole email address.
