When I started to use Teams I first made a team with my family members to practise. Then I made teams for my clients, which shouldn't see the conversations with the other teams. For some reason, all ...
This is because the first team in free Teams is an org-wide team meaning all users will be part of this automatically!
When you create a new team you can choose what kind of team you want. Just create a private team and you can be sure that members won’t end up there by chance
