Teams wont auto update- prompts for manual update
Hi,
For our clients, I prepared an image that included Teams as part of O365. But I'm now finding that the version of Teams included (1.3.0.0.9267) doesnt auto update and users are getting a 'Teams needs an update' screen as soon as they launch Teams. Why isnt this just occurring automatically?
- namikou1610Copper ContributorWe have this same problem. Teams is installed as a part of the O365 installation.
Because Teams is installed individually for every user, all users have to download and install the Teams installer exe.- namikou1610Copper ContributorI closed Teams and deleted the folder %AppData%\Microsoft\Teams . After starting Teams everything worked again.

I'm assuming that the version that you installed is already old and need updating.
Teams can't update itself if it isn't running. So the first time it runs, it needs to update itself.

I have run it, but it wont update.
But the updates are supposed to be automatic. Its no good just having a link to the Teams website telling them to update.
The automatic updates seem to work fine if you have done a standalone Teams install, but not if you install it as part of Office 365.
