Teams users can't communicate with Skype consumer users
Hi, we're having this problem where Teams users can't communicate with regular Skype consumers. Everytime they try to send a message they receive the following error.
They are able to find the external Skype users, but messages are not send or received.
When Skype users send a message to a Teams user, they don't receive a message or invitation to chat.
The environnement is Teams only and the option Users can communicate with Skype users is turned on. Talking with external Teams users does work.
Any ideas on what the problem is?
Ypauwels Hi, you can experience these kind of issues if it's not configured properly or even from problems with the preview itself. It's a fine line between them, but if you know you've set it up correct and are familiar with the prerequisites/limitations https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-skype-interop at least you know it's the preview causing it.
Communicate with Skype users (in preview)
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/manage-external-access#communicate-with-skype-users-in-previewI've had issues with the preview myself and heard of many others as well. But at least I could chat at some point! (using a test tenant as Skype consumer interop isn't allowed in my org.)
