Sep 05, 2018Teams Update Versions aren't quite consistent
Below is the screenshot that best shows the problem.
Teams updates don't seem to be consistent across methods of checking it. I know I'm on the latest update (Aug 31st) but Teams tells me I was last updated Aug 7th. Teams release notes (/whatsnew command) also isn't consistently updated. Often times I discover that /whatsnew is showing me old data compared to the website (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/what-s-new-in-microsoft-teams-d7092a6d-c896-424c-b362-a472d5f105de).
I would greatly appreciate if this were addressed in the future.

Release notes have never been very accurate as you can see here https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Release-Notes/m-p/33319
However the time your client was updated can be different if you have been offline or because they usally roll out updates at different times/days/weeks in different regions (could be improved greatly if release notes included version numbers).
