Teams stops sending messages (but still able to get messages) after disconnecting from company vpn

Hello everyone,

 

We have an issue in our company.

After our cowrkers disconnect their home internet from vpn or due do technical problem shortly a few seconds away from vpn, Teams stops sending messages but can still receive messages from others. To get it work again, we have to restart the program completely.

 

Is there a solution for this problem? Thank you in advance.

    Update:
    The problem is solved after relocating where Teams should be installed.

    shenhsu I think that the application/operating system still thinks there is a route via the VPN. I think that you have to check the traffic with Wireshark and/or Fiddler or similar tools too see exactly what happens. 

    But you should not have Teams traffic go via VPN, Teams traffic should always bypass VPN tunnel and go outside of VPN tunnel. If you setup your VPN in that way (as recommended) you might not see these problems.
