Teams side panel not collapsing

It looks like a new update has caused the teams side pannel to stay expanded and not collapse when I re-size it. This is taking up limited screen space and impacting my work flow. I've looked for a setting to be able to toggle between open and collapse without success. Any suggestions?

I came here to say the same thing. I can't find anything to close that panel. Yesterday is was hidden until I hovered- today it won't budge.

Seems like Microsoft has been made aware of this issue in several forums; however, has yet to provide a reasonable response or fix to the issue. If you can find an older version of a Teams' setup file, you could install the older version and bypass the update. This would likely only work if you are allowed to manage your software yourself by your organization. I've yet to see anyone from Microsoft provide any useful info on this matter. They've been next to useless in other threads I've read.

I am not allowed, so unfortunately, I am stuck like this for now. I tried to search before I posted, perhaps I didn't dig deep enough. Hopefully they find a solution soon. I have to keep teams on my screen and it's now taking up so much more space. This is extremely frustrating.
