Teams Shared Device (fka Common Area) Address Classification for Emergency Calling
Hello - I am trying to test the new Address Classification for Teams Shared Devices with statically assigned Emergency address which should result in "Direct to PSAP" routing. I have a user with Teams Shared Device license, a Direct Routing phone number and Emergency Address statically assigned (under Users->Manage Users->Account tab) in TAC.
The PIDF-LO data sent from my Teams Shared Device user contains "Registered" as the address classification which results in the call being sent to the Emergency Call Center instead of PSAP.
<method>Registered</method>
Should I be going about the static address assignment on Teams Shared Devices differently to achieve a different Address Classification?

Resolved - Must create and assign a TeamsIPPhonePolicy with the SignInMode parameter set to CommonAreaPhoneSignIn to enable the common area phone experience on the Teams phone device. This can only be done in Powershell. Once applied, statically assigned addresses are sent with a "CAP" parameter in the PIDF-LO which results in the ERS routing Direct to PSAP.
