Teams Premium Recap Functions- Better triggers?

Our organization is testing Teams Premium.  One of the headline features is the intelligent recap function.  One feature that we're having inconsistent results with is Follow-up Tasks.  Does anyone know how the AI determines what a follow-up task is?  Are there any useful trigger words or phrases that can help the AI catch these?

Any direction to resources or examples is much appreciated.

  • aflintdepm Have a look at the upcoming feature called Copilot in Collaborative Notes that was announced at Ignite - What’s New in Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Ignite 2023 - Microsoft Community Hub

The descriptions shows it seems to give closer to what you want as it's more real time with the ability to ask it to do things for you. I've not tried it yet, but I don't think it's too far away. Hard to understand if it 'll be in the Teams Premium License, Copilot License or both.

    Hi aflintdepm,

The AI makes it easier to come up with follow-up tasks by suggesting them automatically. These suggestions are generated from the meeting transcript using technologies like GPT and other AI models.

Although the specific words or phrases triggering these follow-up tasks aren't explicitly mentioned in the official documentation, it's likely the AI uses a mix of language understanding and machine learning to figure out action items based on the meeting context.

Thank you for the reply and the links- I've viewed/read both previously.

I am familiar with the underlying functionality, but we're not having very good luck with it. For example, we were in a meeting and my boss said "After this meeting, please do XYZ". We all expected that to show up as a follow-up. There was nothing. Another time, someone said "Ok, here's the recap of what we need.....". Again, nothing. We're very willing to train users on phrasing and keywords if there are any, but it is a little frustrating if each client needs to learn on their own by trial and error. I'm hoping someone, somewhere, begins a collection of phrases, or that Microsoft shares some best practices.

      Thank you again
