You should check the Unified audit log for any relevant events. If you can reliably reproduce this and still cannot figure out what's happening, best open a support case.
- Thanks for your reply. I didn't not find an activity item that would show me teams policy assignments so I created a MSFT case. If there's a timely resolution I'll post it here.
