phlyx Good point. I wonder if the people who test the software really use it in a real world environment or if they run some standard tests and then wait until they get feedback from disgruntled customers?
- Chasal777Aug 09, 2022Copper ContributorIn my company, they quite never do because the said software is not usable on your everyday life. This is not the case with Teams. So really, there is no technical issue. It’s just a matter of bucks, rushed dev, and emergency to steal the place took by competitors before they become too big to compete with.

soundcon Well, this is DAY 1,082 (almost THREE YEARS) since this thread was started with no feedback from Microsoft, no implementation/fix date, dozens and dozens of users complaining about the same issue over and over. Microsoft either doesn't care about their users (customers), don't have the technical ability to fix it, or don't ever tune into their own support forums. Then again my money would be on all three. Engineering here is pushing IT to dump Teams at work and go back to Slack, mainly for this issue. I think we have a better chance of doing that then we do of Microsoft fixing this.
- JCtheBIGuyJul 28, 2022Copper ContributorI started to give MS some "slack" when I realized the reason they probably don't do it is for performance reasons. Based on the general performance of the app, I made the assumption that doing keyword searches on a massive amount of data within Teams would take 10 minutes. But then I remembered that Slack has no problem doing it. The fact we are 1200 days into this and no fix tells me it is a core/architecture problem and can't be fixed. Hopefully I'm wrong.
- JCtheBIGuyJul 07, 2022Copper ContributorMS most likely uses Slack internally. Also, great point about taking 2 hours to scroll to "search" and then one miss click and you are back to current day.
