Teams messages search function does not show full conversation

When using the search function in Teams chat, is there a way to see more than just one specific message (I would like to see the response to the message)? For example, I searched for a question that ...

phlyxYou got it working on Windows? I found that you can place your Teams on Developer Preview. By Face Icon > ... (3 dot icon) > About > Developer Preview. Trying to get it to update to 11-13-2021. Happy day!

    Apparently you only get the option for developer preview if your org admin has enabled "uploading of apps in the admin console".

      m___f Nuts. I just made sure I am updated to 11-15-201 and I don't see anything different unless I go to Developer Preview. What a pain! Thought I had a solution for a ticket I have with my company. Sigh. Time to open a ticket with MS.

        WhatupYo m___f  I hate to burst your bubbles, but even the new modern search does not show context.  The "Go To Message" button will still only show the single message and no context for old messages.

         

        It appears the overhaul did not add the feature we were hoping, and only locally cached results show search context.
