Teams Meeting Lock issues
Morning all, been testing meetings today and noticed even with Lobby switched on and Team meeting locked users in the meeting can still drag people in, which bypasses the whole process.
Anybody got a solution for this ? I did look at Live events but thats 1 way traffic i think ie no talking just listening.
Tobamory61 You will need to designate presenters for your meeting, then the attendees will not be able to request other people join. Your issue is that without specifying this all your internal attendees are counted as presenters so have this permission. Roles in a Teams meeting - Microsoft Support
- This is how the lock feature works https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/lock-a-meeting-62b7869c-dfb8-4be5-a3b4-0728bd0de621 and to start with make sure it's not an co-organizer unlocking, if that's the issue. If it still doesn't work as expected I suggest you open a support ticket with Microsoft.

Thanks Chris, its was very weird as the first meeting i setup the invitees could invite people, but on the 2nd attempt they only have the option of sharing the invite link, and if they do the invited user sits in the lobby anyway to be admitted by the Organizer.
thanks Guys
- They shouldn't be able to sit in the lobby when the meeting is locked. They should reach a screen prompt that says that the meeting is locked for joining.
