Teams for Android Auto - Receive Messages but Replies always Fail
I have a Pixel 10 with all latest OS and Patches as well as latest MS Teams App. For months now I've had a problem where all my incoming work messages on Teams come through fine, but when I attempt to reply it never sends the message. When I look at my Teams App there is a red retry icon because the message failed to send. When I send a new message in the app it works fine but the previous reply through Android auto remains in retry status ie Failed. Is anyone able to reply to a Work account teams message using Android Auto? It has never worked for me.

Based on your description, it sounds like Teams itself is working correctly on the phone because new messages sent directly from the app are delivered successfully. The issue appears to be specific to the Android Auto reply workflow.A few things I'd check:
- Confirm Android Auto has permission to access notifications and messaging apps.
- In Teams, verify that battery optimization is disabled and the app is allowed to run unrestricted in the background.
- Remove and re-add Teams from Android Auto (if available in your Android Auto app settings).
- Clear the cache for both Teams and Android Auto.
- Sign out of Teams and sign back in.
- Test whether the issue occurs on both Wi-Fi and mobile data.
Since the reply is created but remains in a failed state with the retry icon, it suggests Android Auto is handing the message to Teams, but Teams is failing to submit it. This could be an issue with the Teams Android Auto integration itself rather than your account.
To help narrow it down, can anyone else confirm whether replying to Teams work messages through Android Auto is currently working for them? It would be useful to know whether this is specific to Pixel devices or a broader Teams for Android Auto issue.
