Based on your description, it sounds like Teams itself is working correctly on the phone because new messages sent directly from the app are delivered successfully. The issue appears to be specific to the Android Auto reply workflow.

A few things I'd check:

  • Confirm Android Auto has permission to access notifications and messaging apps.
  • In Teams, verify that battery optimization is disabled and the app is allowed to run unrestricted in the background.
  • Remove and re-add Teams from Android Auto (if available in your Android Auto app settings).
  • Clear the cache for both Teams and Android Auto.
  • Sign out of Teams and sign back in.
  • Test whether the issue occurs on both Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Since the reply is created but remains in a failed state with the retry icon, it suggests Android Auto is handing the message to Teams, but Teams is failing to submit it. This could be an issue with the Teams Android Auto integration itself rather than your account.
