Teams Desktop App stuck at Loading.. during first run after install
- Dec 15, 2023One workaround we are hearing for this issue is to create an empty settings.json file under
AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams
This seems to fix the issue.
Hi MMijs
seems that in our case the culprit was the GPO which was set to restrict Teams to login just with our company tenant accounts.
Although it doesn´t make much sense to me, why it influence the first login process, given that user accounts are within this specific company tenant, after disabling this restriction it works correct now and Teams is loading.
Hope this helps 🙂

AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams
This seems to fix the issue.

Fernando_Klurfan None of these strategies worked for. Ms Teams classic keeps preventing me from using it until I agree to swtich to New Teams or swtich when I am not using classic teams. Microsoft is deliberately installing the new Teams against my will and then when it attempts to launch I get 6 blankl loading screens that pop up and close and then I never get to use MS Teams.
- shredwincswagertyMay 14, 2024Copper ContributorI am having the same issue.
Deleting Appdata\roaming and Appdata\local didn't work for me.
Uninstalling and Reinstalling from the website also didn't work.
We even tried deleting our Wide Installer and repeating all the steps above.
The issue persists even with a fresh image.
Has anyone found any other resolutions? - MMijsDec 21, 2023Copper Contributor

Both thanks for the replies. Our problem was fixed with the roaming of "AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams".
We have a third party tool for roaming of user data, and we didn't roam anything for teams.

I'm having the same issue. Are you using FSLogix? I'm not excluding any folders from the roaming profile.
