Teams choose wrong organization
Hello
Since I started using the new Teams, my main organization is no longer displayed.
When I log out and log in again, I am briefly logged in to my main organization, but after a few minutes teams switches back to an organization in which i am registered as a guest its always the same organization.
It's also strange that this only happens on my workstation at work. On my private workstation at home and on my cell phone, everything is fine and works as it should.
If I leave the guest team, everything is fine again. But that can't be the solution, because i'm in contact with a support team via the teams. we exchange data there, have shared notebooks and pending tasks are tracked there.
Organisation listing in new teams
Organization listing in old teams this is how it should be.
I'm using Teams-Version 24033.811.2738.2546 with clientversion 49/24021528615
I have already tested resetting teams as described here (https://learn.microsoft.com/de-de/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/teams-administration/clear-teams-cache) but that didn't help.
Are there any ideas or solutions to the problem?

- felodoCopper ContributorI have exactly the same problem. Any help is appreciated.
- MatsWarnolfCopper ContributorThis happens on Mac as well. I am signed in with my organization but get connected to a customer as a guest. My own organization is not listed in the account switcher and so I can't switch to my organization. All the orgs where I am a guest are listed and I can switch to them without a problem. I have a second Mac where everything works fine. Teams on the web works fine. I can switch freely between my orgs and accounts. Remove/Reboot/Reinstalling Teams and cleaning key vault makes no difference. Clearing the teams nodes in ~/library/application support/ makes no difference. I did try leaving that org that Teams automatically connects me to and that of course fixed the problem, but I need to be a guest in that org. As soon as I get invited back, Teams go back to its problematic behavior. Also OneDrive will occasionally try to connect to the org where I am a guest using my work account.
- geodomiCopper ContributorI may have found a workaround for the problem.
You simply have to add a new account and log in with your current account information:
1. Click on the profile picture
2. Click on "Add another account
3. Log in with your current login credentials- felodoCopper Contributorgeodomi Hi, I tried that and didnt work, but I think that finally I fixed, perhaps it is just luck.
I left the organization that Teams was logging me on incorrectly,
Then I tried to log in and got the error message below.
Message: AADSTS50020: User account 'email address removed for privacy reasons' from identity provider 'https://sts.windows.net/9b99b685-f1ce-4321-9f1a-80b52428da4e/' does not exist in tenant 'WrongOrganization Inc.' and cannot access the application '1fec8e78-bce4-4aaf-ab1b-5451cc387264'(Microsoft Teams) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account.
In my organization We don't use Azure Active Directory
I just typed Azure Active Directory in my Search and took me to : https://portal.azure.com/#home
Logged in with my Microsoft account
Restarted Teams (Right click + Quick) and I was able to log in my organization correctly.
Maybe pure luck but my Teams is working correctly now.- JavierBarbaranCopper Contributor
I all,
I'm experiencing the same issue, and just like geodomi I can't leave the organisation as I need to share information for other projects, and as MatsWarnolf shared as soon as you go back to the organisation it all happens again, Has someone found a solution for good?
Many thanks!!
