Teams app on PC randomly stops detecting webcam

Everything was working flawlessly until last Friday, 10 March 2023. In the middle of a Teams meeting the message "Your webcam stopped working..." appears and the preview screen freezes. This happens randomly.
I've cleared the Teams cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the webcam, tried plugging the webcam directly into the laptop. It will work for a while but eventually stops working. I can switch to the built-in laptop webcam and it will work without issues.
I'm looking forward to getting this resolved.
