Teams and Endpoint remote session Audio issues

If you are experiencing audio echoing or feedback in Microsoft Teams during a remote assistance session using Endpoint Manager, it could be due to the audio settings or configurations. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Check your audio devices: Ensure that you are using the correct audio devices for both input (microphone) and output (speakers/headphones). Sometimes, using speakers and microphone simultaneously can cause feedback. Try using headphones or a headset with a built-in microphone to avoid audio looping.
2. Adjust microphone sensitivity: Lower the microphone sensitivity or volume to minimize the chances of audio feedback. In Teams, you can adjust the microphone level by clicking on your profile picture, selecting "Settings," and then navigating to the "Devices" tab. Make sure to test the audio after adjusting the settings.
3. Disable audio enhancements: Some audio drivers or software may have audio enhancement features enabled that can cause echoing or feedback. In the audio settings of your computer, disable any audio enhancements or effects and check if it resolves the issue.
4. Mute your microphone during remote assistance: While conducting a remote assistance session, you can try muting your microphone in Teams to prevent your voice from being relayed back to you. Use the mute button in the Teams call interface to temporarily disable your microphone when not speaking.
5. Update audio drivers and firmware: Ensure that your audio drivers and firmware are up to date. Visit the manufacturer's website or use Windows Update to check for any available updates for your audio devices.
If the issue persists, it may be helpful to reach out to your organization's IT support or Microsoft support for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your environment and configuration.

1. Check your audio devices: This is a simple setup, laptop for input and headphones for output, I have checked this off.
2. Adjust microphone sensitivity: Lowering the audio only lowers the echo along with the audio and I have checked this off.
3. Disable audio enhancements: I have attempted this and will see if it makes any difference.
4. Mute your microphone during remote assistance: Muting the microphone stops the ability to talk to the user as i discovered endpoint remote assistance does not have an audio function.
5. Update audio drivers and firmware: All drivers are currently up to date so this was ruled out.
If the issue persists, it may be helpful to reach out to your organization's IT support or Microsoft support for further assistance.
I am both technical and Microsoft support for the organization but will continue to look for a resolution.
